For several years now, Gavin has been blessing us with his extensive vocabulary. It's amazing how hard we work to get our kids to use words when they're toddlers and then we beg them for a little peace and quiet once they start talking. How confusing! Gavin has talking down, that's for sure; however, our little one, Chase is still using the whine and point method. Believe me, we are working on that. One of the blessings of having your kids later in life is that you have even less patience than young mommys......(o: Here are a few funny things that Gavin has said over the last few years........Enjoy!
Gavin introducing his baby brother to an imaginary friend: "This is my baby brother. His name is Chase Nathaniel, but we usually call him Chase. You can call him 'Mike.' "
Getting ready to move to Texas, we were driving home from church one night. Gavin was talking to the moon, "Hey moon! Do you wanna move to Texas with me?"
"Mom--I thinked that before you thunked it."
"What in the whole nation?" (Instead of 'What in tarnation!')
"I beg your partner?" (Instead of 'I beg your pardon.')
Gav and I were listening to Spanish music on the way to preschool, "Mom--that makes me want to kiss someone!"
We told Gavin that eating beans puts hair on his chest. One morning while laying on his Daddy's chest he said, "Daddy, how many beans have you eaten to get all that hair?"
